Ashley

Ashley is a professionally trained and certified Labor and Postpartum Doula who currently serves the greater Houston area.

 

Ashley is a kind and compassionate person who has had a passion for the birthing community since the birth of her first child in 2017. After a rough delivery and postpartum period, Ashley wanted to learn more about labor and delivery. She has had her Certified Nursing Assistant(CNA) license for 18 years and started working in the Women’s Services department at her local hospital in 2019.

 

After witnessing countless births, loss, and NICU stays, Ashley wanted to submerge herself in everything labor, delivery, and postpartum. She worked with a great team of nurses and doctors that shaped her into the birth worker that she is today. With all of the knowledge that she gained, she went on to have a beautiful, unmedicated delivery with the birth of her second child.

 

During her time working in Women’s Services, she met Hannah and instantly fell in love with the idea of becoming a doula and what doulas could do for a growing family.

 

“I want to help other parents navigate this sacred time and let them know that they’re not alone in what they’re going through or their feelings. Experiencing the hormonal changes and the change in family dynamics myself, it gives me a special insight and intuition to what the parents may need.”

 

Ashley grew up on a farm in a small town in Wisconsin. After meeting her husband, they moved to the Tomball area to be closer to family. Ashley has two kids and two dogs. In her spare time she likes to sew, crochet, read, and be outside. She is a ProDoula certified postpartum doula and is a certified labor doula through Childbirth International.
